Cindy Clark, Owner
Attorney Clark attended law school when her 3 children were teenagers. She received her Juris Doctor Degree from Franklin Pierce Law Center in 1980. Prior to law school, from 1975 to 1976, Cindy was elected to the NH House of Representatives and served on the House Judiciary Committee. She was appointed Commissioner by Governor Hugh Gallen to the Commission of Children and Youth. While serving as a member of the NH House of Representatives, Cindy was the sole sponsor for legislation that fathers be given equal rights in contested custody cases, which at that time was a very controversial issue. Cindy is a former member of the Board of Directors for the Alternative Dispute Resolution Association. Cindy was formerly a member of the Grafton County Delegation, a licensed NH real estate saleswoman, a member of the Board of Directors for the Lakes Region-Twin Rivers Coordination Council, a member of the NH Woman's Correctional Facility Study Committee, a member of the Executive Committee for the NH Women's Political Caucus, a volunteer for the NH Probation Department, a Legislative Chairman for the NH Task Force on Child Abuse, a member of the Advisory Board for the Youth Development Center, Regionalization Program, and a Chairwoman for the Women's Auxiliary, Plymouth Area Little League. Cindy has also lobbied for the New Hampshire Probate Judges, the New Hampshire Dental Society, Rockingham Park, and Yankee Greyhound Park before the New Hampshire Legislature. Cindy is licensed to appear before all New Hampshire State Courts and the 1st Circuit of Appeals.
In her spare time, Attorney Clark also breeds thoroughbred horses in the State of Kentucky and has raced at Suffolk Downs, Rockingham Park, Churchill Downs and Turfway Park Raceway.
Deborah H. Shepherd, Associate
Attorney Shepherd graduated from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, located in the Berkshires, in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science. She then worked in the computer field for sixteen years before attending Franklin Pierce Law Center and graduating in 2003. While at Pierce Law, Attorney Shepherd participated in the Civil Practice Clinic and the Child Advocacy Clinic, providing services to clients at reduced fees or pro bono. She also participated in the Mediation Clinic and mediation competition during law school. Upon graduation, Attorney Shepherd began working for a general practice firm and handled cases in personal injury, property disputes, criminal defense, landlord/tenant, small business, and family law. For the past six years, she has facilitated a support group with her husband called DivorceCare©.
Rebecca F. Brockelman, Associate
Attorney Brockelman is the managing member of Amoskeag Title, LLC and has over 5 years of experience in residential real estate transactions. She was admitted to the State Bar of New Hampshire and Massachusetts in 2005. She was also admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire in 2005. Attorney Brockelman has been working in the legal field since 1992. Attorney Brockelman graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1990 with a B.A. in Communication and received her Juris Doctor from Franklin Pierce Law Center in 2005. She has represented a broad range of individuals and business entities on a wide variety of matters, including family law, estate planning, corporate and real estate transactions. She is a licensed title agent for Stewart Title Guaranty Co.
Rebecca is a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association, Massachusetts Bar Association, Collaborative Law Alliance of New Hampshire and the Real Estate and Family Law sections of the New Hampshire Bar Association.
Crystal M. Maldonado, Associate
Attorney Crystal M. Maldonado graduated from Stonehill College in Easton, Massachusetts in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Relations. In 2008, Attorney Maldonado received her Juris Doctor from Franklin Pierce Law Center in Concord, New Hampshire. While at Pierce Law, Attorney Maldonado interned at the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office and the Legal Advice and Referral Center and participated in the Administrative Law and Mediation Clinics, providing services to clients at reduced fees or pro bono. Attorney Maldonado is also bi-lingual, speaking English and Spanish fluently.
Attorney Maldonado was also one of the first participants and graduates of the Franklin Pierce Law Center’s Daniel Webster Scholars Honors Program. The Webster Scholars Honors Program is a collaboration involving Franklin Pierce Law Center, the New Hampshire Supreme Court, the NH Board of Bar Examiners, and the NH Bar Association. The Webster Scholar Honors program, the first of its kind in the nation, is a two-year bar practicum. The Scholars complement their Pierce Law coursework with rigorous applied training in professional skills and judgment through simulated, clinical and externship settings in order to become “client ready” at graduation.
