Custody

The terms "custody" and "visitation" have been removed from the New Hampshire statutes and Court vocabulary, except in grandparent's rights and step-parent's rights matters. New Hampshire Courts now use the term "parental rights and responsibilities."

In all cases where children are involved, the Court requires parents to prepare an extensive Parenting Plan which details each parent's responsibilities with regard to parental decision-making, parenting time, supervision of parenting time (if applicable), transportation, residential placement with one or both parents, and all other provisions for the child(ren), except child support.

Our firm can assist to prepare an appropriate Parenting Plan or we can represent you in Court at a Hearing to ensure that you receive an appropriate parenting schedule based upon the best interests of your child(ren).
