According to reports, Pincus and Alison Gelb Pincus have been married for nine years and have three children together. However, Gelb Pincus recently filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. As part of her filings, she is asking that their prenuptial agreement be invalidated and, presumably, that Pincus pay her legal expenses.
Reports indicate that Pincus launched Zynga the year before he married Gelb Pincus. While he was wealthy at the time of his marriage, the value of Zynga expanded significantly over the next four years. Reports estimate his worth at $1.28 billion. Sources say that Gelb Pincus is questioning their prenup due to the significant increase in her estranged husband’s worth. Court papers indicate that Pincus is unwilling to pay her attorney fees.
A prenuptial agreement can play a valuable role, especially in the event of a high asset divorce.
