Dr. Dre, ex-wife battle over prenup

The divorce has been contentious with each party staking out claims to the music moguls business empire.

Currently, a battle is raging over the validity of the couple’s prenup. Ms. Young claims that she was pressured into signing the agreement and that Dre later ripped it apart. The rapper disputes these claims and has moved for a court hearing to determine the validity of the document.

“Andre acknowledged to me that he felt ashamed he had pressured me into signing a premarital agreement and he tore up multiple copies of the agreement in front of me. Since the day he tore up the agreements, we both understood that there was no premarital agreement, and that it was null and void,’ Ms. Young’s documents read.

The couple have been married since 1996. Dr. Dre, whose real name is Andre Young, is being represented by high-profile divorce lawyer Laura Wasser, who is also representing Kim Kardashian in her divorce from Kanye West.
